Untill the 1st February 2015 the Palazzo Reale hosts the largest exhibition ever devoted the last 50 years to Marc Chagall in Italy. The more than 220 works of the exhibition are gathering of unpublished paintings from the collections of the heirs, and painting belonging to the most important museums in the world, including the MoMa, the Metro Politan Museum in New York, the National Gallery in Washington, the Museum National Russian St. Petersburg and the Centre Pompodou.
The retrospective aims to guide the audience through a chronological journey carefully divided according to his numerous moves by Russia, France and America, where the artist was tragically marked by the death of his beloved wife. Visitors will thus be able to discover how Chagall was able to maintain his sense of joy and wonder for nature and living things through time, the ups and downs and the different cultures that had acquired.
