Milan has confirmed to be an innovative city not only for its districts designed by archi-stars (such as the new Porta Nuova district) but also in art and music.
Milan has always been one of the best Italian cities where you can listen to music.
Between 2015 and 2016 some new music clubs opened, especially to promote the electro music.
The goal is to create in Milan a circuit of clubs aimed at those who love music, its genres and its various currents. This concept recalls the revolution of London clubbing in the late Eighties. Now Milan seems to have taken a new way that aims to compete with the big European electronic music capitals, such as Berlin or London.
We selected four clubs that represent the best you can find in Milan for electronic music.
At Lambrate district, famous to be one of the Milan Design Week locations, closed to the railway tracks, there is the Wall club.
Open since 2015 in the same space that has already hosted two different clubs, the Wall club has been completely restored and renovated by a new sound e light system and lights, a new DJs booth, two cocktail bars including one on the roof top, where you can take a break from the local vibrations.
The Wall management is a solid crew of promoters and DJs with a long event organization experience behind and they focus the program on house and techno nights, which always involves internationally renowned artists. Prestigious DJ sets and highly adrenaline evenings are the prerogative of the Wall. After great success in the last season, the Wall organizes dj sets on Fridays and Saturdays.
This club is be inaugurated in the early January of last year and, after one year we can talk about success achieved and deserved. Santeria Social Club owners have taken a space that was once a car dealer to create a new multi-space dedicated to music; two concert halls, a record store, bar and restaurant and also one co-working space. The concert hall is quite large and the program includes international DJs from electronic scene and rock concerts. Last season Santeria Social Club has been partner of the Milan Design Week, hosting some festival events. The club is also mainly represented by its bar and its restaurant, now well known in the city for the quality and professionalism of the staff.
This new club, opened in September last year, is still considered as a novelty, and shows that Milan is undoubtedly an important promoter of club culture, focused on electronic music. The Volt is centrally located in the district of Porta Ticinese and is a polished club, by its sound system than its interior design. The Volt has quickly become a main mark for electronic sound lovers, with evenings devoted to various kinds; normally on Thursday, the university night, the Volt offers hip pop music while Fridays and Saturdays are for house music devoted. The DJs guests have always a big international appeal and often you find at the Volt entrance a long line up fans.

The Dude is one of the few in Italy able to offer indiscriminately house, techno evenings, jazz and other genres not necessarily related to electronics. The club has hosted superstars artists who have made history at House and techno, and that every season the club returned to perform on the console. Dude also houses collateral events and thematic parties during the Milan Design Week.
