The historic Teatro Smeraldo opened in 1942 and closed in 2012, this venue once was the stage of memorable theatrical shows, concerts and film screenings, while now is the seat of Eataly, the first concept store of Italian food and lifestyle, in other words top quality food and wine accessible to everyone.

Eataly Milan Smeraldo is spread over 3 floors including restaurants and shops where to find all kind of food and wines.
On the ground floor there is the bookshop that introduces the visitor to Eataly’s philosophy.
At the bookshop you can find the books of popular Italian chefs such as Cracco, Bastianich and Barbieri, the winner of the last edition of Masterchef Stefano Callegaro and the French chef Alain Ducasse, and of course several guides and cookbooks.
Next to the library, a space is reserved for kitchen utensils, from small appliances to molds for biscuits, ladles, plates, glasses, aprons and so on.
The main area of the ground floor is the fruit and vegetables market where to find the freshest seasonal products. In this area you can buy pasta, biscuits, bread, sweets, oil, sauces, jams and chocolate, you can also have lunch or dinner at the restaurant “La pasta” with a menu based on Gragnano pasta or fresh handmade pasta by Michelis of Mondovì.
You can round off your lunch tasting the sweet delights at “La Pasticceria” of Luca Montersino.
At the first floor there is a wide choice of Italian specialties: meat, fish, delicatessen area, cheeses and cold cuts.
