In February it will take place the new edition of the International Travel Fair, known as Bit 2015, flagship event for professionals in the travel & hospitality industry and for travelers.
What can we expect from this new edition, scheduled only a few months before the highly anticipated EXPO?
The event takes place at Fiera Milano from 12th to 14th February; the first two days entrance will be reserved only to professionals, while on Saturday 14th visitors can access upon fee.
The Fair will be organized in three main areas this year: Mice, Leisure and Luxury.
Bit.Digital will be the space dedicated to online travel agencies; furthermore the program also includes areas devoted to the promotion of Italian excellence in art, culture and enogastronomy.
Statistical researches in the travel industry claim that Italians like luxury travel, in fact at Bit 2015 there will be an exclusive exhibition area provided with a lounge room and a luxury restaurant that welcomes Italian and foreign operators of luxury travel.
The upcoming edition of Bit will host buyers from all over the world: Africa is represented by two sought-after destinations as Egypt and Tunisia and emerging countries for tourism as Chad, Tanzania and Uganda.
Some of the others countries represented at the fair are Australia, Cyprus, Croatia, Cuba, France, Germany, Japan, the Caribbean, India, Iran, Cook Islands, Israel, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, New Caledonia, Poland, Portugal, Dominican Republic, Russia, Seychelles, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tunisia and Vietnam.
China will be a protagonist of this edition with Bit.China, a project aimed at one of the most attractive markets for incoming tourism, as arrivals from China to Italy reached 280.000 units.
According to forecasts of Confcommercio, from China will come more than 1 million people (including travelers and professionals) to visit Expo in Milan; the Bit China project is conceived to help Italian entrepreneurs to promote their offer joining Gitf, the Chinese tourism fair in Guangzhou which boasts Fiera Milano among its organizers.
Destination Sport is a new area made in partnership with Decathlon and open to the audience: on 14th February 14 this area will host operators that offer active holidays packages related to the various sporting disciplines.
